Public benefits

The public benefit that flow as a result of the purpose are: A) parents receive greater knowledge about their child’s developments and learn news ways of parenting their children through parent based programmes in groups or in the home. B) parents and children’s are able to avail of the crèche facilities provided to attend programmes/Training or on

a drop in basis. This provides the child with appropriate play and structured in a way to enhance their development needs. The project provide Parent & Toddler facilities that allow both parent and child the opportunity to play and interact in a structured way to help develop their parenting abilities. C) The project provide numerous programmes and event each year to educate our families on the important of protecting their young children, a number of other agencies from the local community participate giving out information. The project will also refer families to other agencies if needed to help promote health, wellbeing and advice. D)The project provide crèche facilities and Parent and toddler groups in all the areas of benefit. The project provide programmes, activities and events in all the areas of benefit. The services that are offered to families in the areas of benefit are open to all families regardless of their religion, culture, race ability or gender. The benefits are demonstrated and measured through our Sure start data base which provide information on how many families are registered and how many families are up taking and using our services. We have evaluations that we provide at all our events, we have suggestion boxes at all our centres and continually ask parents for feedback. We keep a record on all families registered within the project. We provide crèche facilities for all our children registered and there is a small potential for the children to trip or fall when in our setting, however all staff are fully training in heath and & safety, all have paediatric first aid, food hygiene training and all staff adhere to the child protection ad vulnerable adult policy. There is no private benefit flowing from the purpose of the project .

Charitable purposes

The objectives of Last Sure Start are: A) Educate the public in all matters relating to parenting and child development by the provision of education and training courses. B) enhance the development and education of young children by encouraging parents/guardians to understand and provide for the needs of their children by offering appropriate play facilities, with the right of parent/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the Company, ensuring that the company offers opportunities for all children regardless of religion, culture, race ability or gender. C) preserve and protect health by the provision of counselling, advice and information. D) provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Killyclogher, Lisanelly, Camowen, Drumragh, Strule, Fintona, Termon & Gortrush wards the area of benefit.
