Community Building allowing the participant’s to enjoy the activities on offer while enriching the citizens lives and promoting cross community contact and mutual understanding. This is evidenced by recording the number participants attending; evaluations; audiences and participation; photo documentation; audited annual accounts and reports to grant funders.

Garvagh and District Development Association was established in 1997 with its main objectives being to promote for the benefit of Garvagh and the neighbourhood by the advancement of education and the provision of facilities for community businesses, recreation and leisure; to promote a cross community contact and activity and to provide and promote
a range of social activities. GADDA is based in a small rural community where the targeted participants are disadvantaged socially, economically and culturally. GADDA works to benefit the whole community regardless of race, gender, religious affiliation, national origin, age or disability. A voluntary committee who are selected at the AGM manage GADDA. GADDA's main aim is to provide a welcoming and safe neutral environment for young and old alike to meet and join the many activities, classes, courses and social events that are on offer eg for the senior citizens the Diamond Club, the Hampsey School of Traditional Music, the Hampsey Harp School, the Muddy Boots Club for children and young people. annual garden visit, Craft Fair, Christmas Tree Festival, Community Forum, Tourist Information centre as well as offering rooms to other organisations to meet.
