The direct benefits which flow from these purposes include provision of a range of provision of a range of educational, social and recreational activities mainly based within Cashel Community Centre for members of the local community living within the Cashel District, providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities that assist improve

their educational attainment, health, social interaction and their conditions of life through accessing services and activities that would not normally made available to them. Examples of activities provided being Keep Fit, Social Dancing, Yoga, Gardening Club, Knitting, Crochet, Baking Classes, Cookery Demonstrations, Children’s, Summer Scheme, Badminton, Farmers Information Courses & Talks, Funeral Teas, Family Parties, Health Fairs, Card Games, Summer Fun Day, use by Cashel Senior Citizens, use by Cashel Bowling Club, use by other charitable bodies for activities and functions. Many of these activities are organised by the association linking with other statutory organisations and voluntary organisations. Benefits of the activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers participating in activities and receiving of feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Cashel Community Association

What your organisation does

Cashel Community Association was established in 1991 in the rural community of townlands centered on Cashel Cross, with members of the association being drawn on a cross-community basis from throughout the population living in this area of west Fermanagh. The most significant work of the association has been securing the lease on what was the

former Cashelnadrea Elementary National School and then the funds to construct the purpose built community facility known as Cashel Community Centre, this building opened in 1992 and since then has very well used by members of the local community and visitors to the area for a range of educational, social and recreational activities. Examples of activities provided in Cashel Community Centre are Keep Fit, Social Dancing, Yoga, Gardening Club, Knitting, Crochet, Baking Classes, Cookery Demonstrations, Children’s, Summer Scheme, Badminton, Farmers Information Courses & Talks, Funeral Teas, Family Parties, Health Fairs, Card Games, Summer Fun Day, use by Cashel Senior Citizens, use by Cashel Bowling Club, use by other charitable bodies for activities and functions.

Charitable purposes

The Association is established to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Cashel district of Co. Fermanagh and it's environs ( hereinafter described as the "the area of benefit") without distinction of age, sex, political, race, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in the common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for the protection of health and recreation, with the object of improving the conditions of the life for the said inhabitants.
