We have organised a number of events within the village to accommodate people who:- do not have transport, low social

income, all age groups and of different abilities/disabilities. 2nd Purpose – To advance education: We bring people together at different activities and we keep the community informed of relevant events and information through our regular newsletter, facebook page and information stands at our fun day, e.g. home safety, PSNI, photography and cultural diversity 3rd Purpose – To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation or other leisure time occupation. We have recently commissioned a village development plan and using this we will be able to lobby statutory agencies to improve the quality of village life. We meet regularly with the various agencies at our interagency meetings. Our input has impacted on changes to the village. We build upon and improve community relations in the village by having events which everyone feels they can take part in, in a non-threatening way. People from the whole village are encouraged to take part in all our activities The public benefits which flow from these purposes, do so through the provision of a wide range of activities which benefit all those that participate and the wider community including ; opportunities to participate in activities which enhances the quality of life, reduces social isolation, increases skills, confidence and self-esteem and encourages active citizenship and community participation. All projects and activities are organised based on identified needs in the area. Benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants and attendance at events and activities. Those who participate in our projects, benefit directly through their engagement. The wider community of Maguiresbridge also benefit as a result of information published in our newsletter, on our face book page.
