1. To promote the benefit of the inhabitants. The direct benefit for the inhabitants of this as an outworking to the promotion of the objects is in the provision of centrally accessible managed facilities. This benefit is demonstrated by the response of inhabitants who access the facilities and the services accordingly and the number of people
who support and identify with the Company. 2. To advance education The direct benefit for the inhabitants is the provision of and access to skilled, experienced and qualified tutors. This benefit is demonstrated through the skills learned, exams taken and confidence gained in an individual’s area of specific art form and is measurable with the wider public benefitting through events and performance. 3. To promote and preserve Ulster Scots heritage, cultural traditions and arts The direct benefit for the inhabitants is access to tutors, people and promotional materials and relevant information. This benefit is demonstrated through an increased knowledge, learning and understanding of traditional music and dance reels, jigs, instruments and theatre. 4. To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for education, recreation and other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants The direct benefit for the inhabitants is the provision of warm, safe facilities where people feel welcomed and enabled. This benefit is demonstrated through personal and cross generational friendships nurtured and developed, organisational relationships are grown and rural social isolation is reduced. Music brings many derived therapeutic benefits and dance brings physical and health benefits. 5. To advance education concerning Ulster Scots heritage, history, language and culture, and promote Ulster Scots arts, music, dance, literature, poetry, song and drama for the benefit of the inhabitants by the provision of classes, lectures, events and performances. The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include the local provision of facilities and qualified tutor services to enable our program within the community at a subsidised cost where people can involve themselves in learning and developing traditional arts in a social environment. These benefits can be demonstrated by the numbers of participants subscribing to our programs. There is no harm arising from our purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are those who directly participate in our classes and their immediate families and the wider community as an outworking of that expression. There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes to any individual(s) or organisation(s) who is not an intended beneficiary in relation to the purposes of Mid Armagh Community Network.

We provide classes in music and dance tutored by musicians well versed in the culture that they serve. Classes are provided weekly and thanks to our various grant providers we are able to offer classes and access to musical equipment at a reduced cost to enable as many as possible from disadvantaged backgrounds to participate. We provide a safe,
warm and welcoming environment which is conducive to these.
