Public benefits

St Paul's A.B.C club is established to promote the preservation and protection of health by the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure-time occupation in the interests of social welfare for the benefit of the general public in Belfast and its environs in/of Andersonstown (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") without regard to

age, ability, disability, ethnic identity, nationality or religion and in particular: a) educate and assist young people aged 10 to 18 through boxing and other recreational activities so as to develop their physical fitness, mental and emotional capacities that they grow to full maturity as individuals and citizens and that their conditions of life may be improved. The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include a healthier lifestyle, increased exercise, social gathering and better ability from training. We help promote a healthier lifestyle for all. we provide recreational facilities designed to promote the achievement of the purpose of the club. We provide, maintain and equip or assist in the provision, maintenance and equipment of premises and facilities and equipment designed to carry out the purpose of the club. These benefits can be demonstrated by listening to family members, school teachers and if they do other sport we would get feedback as to how fit an individual is. We can show that the risk of harm arising from the purposes of our charity is outweighed by the benefits through the clubs safeguard policies, and members are trained in first aid, two are specifically trained in sports first aid. There are no private benefits flowing from the purpose. All members give up their time free and all are volunteers. No one is paid a wage.

What your organisation does

our club is run by volunteers and is open to all members of the public, we help train young people from 10-18 years in the sport of boxing, in doing this we help promote healthier lifestyle choices, through education workshops and the need to improve on fitness to compete any higher levels of boxing. we support all the young people regardless to

their ability, we find their willingness and eagerness to take part in our group programmes to be of more importance. we run our programmes 5 nights per week and aim to get the young people to be the best that they can be.

Charitable purposes
