Public benefits
The benefits which will flow form this activity are; improve health (especially but not exclusively among the children ; a reduction in the time and effort expended by villagers sourcing & boiling water, leaving them with more time to develop economic activities which contribute to the sustainability of the Clean Water System. The benefits are
evidenced in three ways. A) anecdotal reports from mothers of reduced illnesses among children. B) the actual development of commercial economic activities, such as Market Gardening, Beekeeping & Brick Making. C) the existence of a Village Water Fund Bank Account for future maintenance of the System. The activities of PING Charity do not result in any harmful effects, either directly or indirectly. The beneficiaries of our activities are all the inhabitants of each village and its immediate hinterland. There is no private benefit to the Trustees. Our associate in The Gambia, Mr Momodou Joof (retired school master) does not receive a salary. When he visits projects to monitor and record progress on our behalf his expenses are paid.
