Public benefits
The benefit which flows from our purpose is that people in the area of benefit will live in more peaceful, inclusive, prosperous and fair circumstances as a result of the work of New Meadows Community Partnership achieving reconciliation between people from different community backgrounds within the different estates in NMCP's area of operation in
Magherafelt, improved levels of tolerance and of mutual trust. These benefits are to be evidenced through people from different community backgrounds taking part in activities of common interest together, people getting involved in planning and helping to deliver such activities, and feedback from people living in the area of benefit that demonstrates a more positive outlook over time in terms of community relations. Community relations work can be difficult but NMCP has experience of running successful cross-community initiatives and will bring this experience to bear to ensure that the positive impacts of promoting reconciliation outweigh any risks. There is no private benefit flowing from NMCP's purpose.
