The benefit of such support and guidance is to enable those members to be better able to serve in the local community. Object 4(c) Provide support and guidance to those activities of its members that seek to relieve sickness, financial hardship and poverty and to promote and preserve good, through practical gifts of food, clothing, furniture and financial support as well as training and counselling. The benefit of such support and guidance is to enable those members to be better able to serve in the local community. Object 4(d) a) Carry out acts of social concern to benefit persons in Belfast and the surrounding area in the advancement of equality and diversity and the promotion of religious and racial harmony. Providing improved community relations, intercultural cohesion, and an increase in understanding of cross cultural and multi-religious views creating a common ground and sense of belonging. All activities discussed above are open to the public without discrimination and aimed mainly within Belfast and the greater surrounding area though some elements listed above have worldwide activities. All acts are completely voluntary. There is a potential harm of creating a cycle of dependency in relieving financial hardship directly through gifts. However this does not outweigh the public benefit as we also provide additional services for long term life skills to educate through situations. The only private benefit to trustees may arise from our programme of on-going training in good governance, finance etc.

What your organisation does

The organisation meets weekly for our main services, providing worship and teaching to our members and their children. Other weekly events are held in homes and our main teaching centre fostering greater relations among our church and the wider community. Gifts are given weekly of food, clothing and furniture and donated to a partnering

organisation to help relieve poverty and hardship across the Greater Belfast area.
