Public benefits

Killough Pre School Playgroup provides a benefit to the general public by assisting and securing the provision of educational and recreational facilities and offers practical assistance for all pre-school aged children from the local area. The staff work collaboratively in planning a programme for the children that involves a high quality learning

and teaching environment which benefits local children and parents. The benefits from this include development of physical and emotional health through play, fun and creative activities; development of thinking and problem solving skills; strong sense of community and learning respect for any differences; supporting parents and offering an excellent example of positive adult/child interaction and appropriate care. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from parents, Early Years Advisor and regular monitoring and evaluation of the service by Social Services and the Education and Training Inspectorate. Our beneficiaries are children from the local area from different backgrounds and religions. Ongoing staff training in all areas of pre-school education also benefits the children through the quality of interactions. This benefit is therefore necessary to enable us to achieve our purposes. This purpose does not give rise to any harm.
