The public benefits that flow from the purpose of advancement of community development for Culmore and O Kane Park residents association are: 1. the increased opportunity for residents to obtain accredited training to improve prospects of acquiring employment, leading to a better quality of life for participants. The public benefit is evident
through completion of questionnaires and evaluation sheets acquired on completion of courses, achievement of qualifications through recognition events and publicity in our newsletters. 2. improve the aesthetic appearance of area and improve relationships with the community and voluntary and statutory organisations to ensure environmental improvements are carried out and improve living standards of residents. These benefits can be evidenced through records kept of attendance, photographic attendance at events and also evaluations of statutory organisations in the surveys of living standards 3. provision of youth facilities to increase activities and provision of recreational areas within the estate which will stimulate the youth and reduce levels of anti social behaviour in the area The public benefit is increased recreational provision and this can be evidenced through reduced records of anti social behaviour and increased youth participation. There is no private benefit to residents and no harm arises from any of these purposes. The beneficiaries are the residents of Culmore and O Kane Park and the surrounding estates within Omagh Town.
