1. The purpose of the voluntary Ex-Patients Guild hospital shop, is TOTALLY to raise funds for Medical & Surgical equipment for use within the Lagan Valley Hospital wards, clinics and theatres for the benefit of the patients who are admitted or treated in LVH. this is confirmation of our constitution rules and regulations. 2. All our finances

are IN TOTAL spent on the providing hospital equipment for the Lagan Valley Hospital thus freeing funds allocated by Government to the hospital management (South Eastern Trust) for other purposes, probably larger items of equipment. The hospital staff have already made a few verbal requests and are in the process of getting quotations for the equipment they would like ordered, subject to management and Ex-Patients Guild granting the request for the possible purchase. a. The community at large, i.e. Those who attend the clinics or have been admitted to the wards for surgery or treatment. b. The only beneficiaries are the ill patients who are receiving treatment/surgery in the LVH and the patient is the one who benefits. c. All the equipment has been listed and can be viewed on the different wards or departments.(we have purchased equipment from years 1993/15 to the value of £135,685.77 - our profits for year ended 31/1/16 was £8174.45) d. All the requests for purchases of equipment has been requested by the ward management, and must be supported by the Chief Medical Administrator, before submitting the request to the committee of the Ex-Patients Guild for the approval to purchase by the SET. There is no private benefit to any individual and all our goods are approved by the relevant standards of manufacture and medical approval.

Our Guild runs a small shop within the Lagan Valley Hospital, totall staffed and organised by volunteers, all the profits are used to purchase Medical & Surgical Equipment for use within the local hospital.

Charitable purposes

The Objects of the Guild are: - To maintain a friendly link between the hospital and the public it serves - To raise money to augment the free funds of the Trust to be used for the purpose of providing hospital equipment, or other approved needs; such monies shall be spent in accordance with the wishes of the Guild and Hospital Management The South Eastern Trust (Lagan Valley Hospital) shall be kept informed of the activities of the Guild and the approval of the Trust shall be obtained of all proposals in connection with implementing the objectives of the Guild.
