Purpose 1 To promote play based learning environments, to enhance the development and education of pre-school children regardless of religion, culture, race or means primarily in the Belmont area of East Belfast but not exclusively. The direct benefits that flow from this purpose include: Preparation of each child for pre school and primary

education, mastering the basic skills of expression, communication, problem solving, early mathematics, creativity, knowledge of the world around us, experimentation and exploration and physical development. The ability to relate to other children and adults. The benefits are demonstrated through: Interviews where there is a two way sharing of information between staff and parents/carers, where staff observations are used to inform parent/carers . Parental questionaires to gain the opinion of parent/carers. Staff when planning of activities use the “Voice of the child” to develop and extend learning opportunities. The well being of the child eg Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Healthy eating and Exercise policies. Annual inspections by Social Services Trust and regular inspection by Education and Training Inspectorate (Department of Education) and Independent Early Years Specialist. There is no harm flowing from the purpose. The beneficiaries of this purpose are: pre-school children regardless of religion, culture, race or means primarily in the Belmont area of East Belfast but not exclusively . Purpose 2 To promote play based learning environments to enhance the development and education of school-age children regardless of religion, culture, race or means primarily in the Belmont area of East Belfast but not exclusively. The direct benefits that flow from this purpose include: Enhancing the basic skills of expression, communication, problem solving, creativity, knowledge of the world around us, experimentation and exploration and physical development. Promotion of each child’s social, physical, moral and intellectual development through well planned activities. Providing children with the opportunity to relate well with other children and adults in a safe and secure environment. Providing children with the opportunity to increase their self- confidence and self- esteem through using the ‘voice of the child’ in the planning of activities. The benefits are demonstrated through: Parental questionaires to gain the opinion of parent/carers. Staff when planning activities use the “Voice of the child” to provide ideas. Charitable purposes

Company’s Objects. The Company’s objects are specifically restricted to the following: to promote play based learning environments to enhance the development and education of pre-school and school-age children regardless of religion, culture, race or means (hereinafter called the “beneficiaries”) primarily in the Belmont area of East Belfast but not exclusively (hereinafter called the ” area of benefit”) by: a) Providing the necessary facilities for safe and satisfying group play for pre-school children and for the daily care, recreation and education of children during out of school hours and holidays; b) Offering appropriate play facilities, with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the Company , ensuring that the Company offers opportunities for all children; c) Supporting the values and principles of Early Years; d) To advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the directors may, from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity.
