The relief of those in need The benefit that flows from this purpose would to provide a safe place for women and children to be safe from domestic abuse. Fleeing from a dangerous and painful relationship is a lifesaving need for some families. We would offer a safe place to gather their thoughts and grow in confidence with good support tailored to

individual needs. No harm results from this purpose. The benefits are for all persons who use our services. This is evident by the continued development of Cithrah Services and expansion. We are in consultation with Government to meet the needs of males with and without children, to provide a secure and supported place to heal and overcome the impact of domestic abuse. The relief of poverty The Benefit which flow from this purpose is to provide necessary items such as furniture, bedding, and clothing for those who have left their home because of domestic abuse and were unable to bring any belongings with them. We would offer a safe place where it is fully furnished and personal items can be obtained from us depending on individual circumstances and needs. No harm results from this purpose. The benefits are for all persons who use our services. This is evident by the continued development of Cithrâh Services and expansion. The advancement of education The Benefit which flow from this purpose would be to provide life skills training to the clients which use our services, and drop in centre. The Cithrâh Foundation would provide counselling services, support and advice services to clients and the Foundation also has training group presentations to the community. We also give advice and information for Welfare rights, housing and debt to any clients this can maximize income and improve housing opportunities and environmental health. We complete and inform the clients how to complete forms, and provide them with the tools to enhance their opportunities. No harm results from this purpose. The benefits are for all persons who use our services. This is evident by our increasing numbers who use the services over the last year; and also our clients continuing development, increased confidence; access to tailored support; enhanced development of individual’s capabilities, competences, skills and understanding are all benefits. The advancement of religion The Benefit which flow from this purpose is to have an open opportunity for clients to ask for spiritual guidance if required. We would offer a safe place to gather their thoughts and grow in spiritual confidence with good support tailored to individual needs. This would be to provide a safe environment to the clients which use our services, and drop in centre. No harm results from this purpose. The benefits are for all persons who use our services. This is evidenced by the continued growth of the service and our involvement in religious networks within the community.

What your organisation does

We provide facilities for temporary secure accomodation and services to support the women and women with children on an emergency short-term basis in the refuge SELAH Offering support, advice and information and counselling where required both within the Safe house SELAH,Drop in centre at 29 West Street and on an outreach basis to individuals and

families. We are working to develop a safe place for males to match that of SELAH with government . Cithrah works to empower Service users and staff and volunteers, through; organised workshops, educational courses and skills training. We Give presentations and atttend events to raise awareness of the impact Abuse, Homelessness and social deprivation can impose on the individual and family without predjudice in the community. Co-operate and partner with voluntary or statutory agencies and inhabitants of the area of benefit and beyond so as to advance the objectives of the Cithrâh Foundation services, its service users, and the community. Network with relevant agencies develop good working relationships in parnership with local voluntary and staturory agencies. develop goals for meeting the needs of client base and staff/volunteers.

Charitable purposes

The objects of the Foundation are to meet the needs of individuals and families who have experienced difficulties, without distinction of race, religion or political opinion by association with statutory bodies, voluntary organizations, institutions and business in a common effort to promote Christianity and alleviate poverty and disadvantage, advance education, promote social inclusion and spiritual awareness; and in particular to: (i) Provide support systems in the interest of social welfare for a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle; (ii) Provide for the needs of individuals and families in need of support due to abuse, homelessness and social deprivation and all that this entails. (iii) Promote support and assistance to overcome the difficulties that abuse, homelessness and social deprivation can impose on the family and individual. (iv) Respect and encourage self-development, empowering the individual to lead a fulfilling life and in particular to meet the needs of the whole person by offering spiritual as well as emotional, educational and moral guidance, the members and employees of the Foundation being in agreement with the Evangelical Christian Ethos of the Cithrâh Foundation.
