Public benefits
1. The direct benefits from this purpose include the unity of purpose which the section of the public who enter membership adhere to in advancing the Christian message. The benefits can be demonstrated by the stability of the church. The public benefits of a stable body of people living in and reaching out to the community, creates an environment
in which people may be encouraged to find spiritual and practical help. There is no harm in this benefit which members extend to the people they meet each day. 2. The direct benefits from this purpose include discipling the section of the public who are members and or non-member adherents in their knowledge of Christian faith and practice. The benefits can be demonstrated by the spiritual well-being of those who strive for this purpose. There is no harm in this benefit which is available to that section of the public who are members and or other people who attend. An incidental private benefit from this purpose is the payment of 1 Trustee because it is necessary in furtherance of the charity's purposes. 3. The direct benefits from this purpose include providing the opportunity for people to assemble in our buildings. The benefits are demonstrated through the number of persons regularly meeting for this purpose. This purpose does not lead to harm, there is a perceived risk to vulnerable children, this risk is outweighed by the benefits through proper vetting of those working with children and young people. The beneficiaries include that section of the public who enter membership and people living in the local community or further afield who wish to take part, including via internet broadcasting. An incidental private benefit from this purpose are those available to the Minister because it is necessary in the furtherance of the charity’s purposes. 4. The direct benefits from this purpose include provision of buildings to conduct religious services, weddings etc. and for the use of youth organisations. The benefits can be demonstrated by the regular use of the property and the range of organisations meeting. The beneficiaries are that section of the public who enter membership and to others who attend and or take part in various organisations and or other events. 5. The direct benefits which arise from this purpose include relieving the feelings of isolation which the needy may feel. The benefits are demonstrated by the positive feedback of persons who have been helped and from their families. This purpose does not lead to harm. The beneficiaries are that section of the public who enter membership and or people living in the local community or further afield who are able to gain relief by means of spiritual and or practical help. There is also a benefit to the families of persons who benefit from relief. A potential private benefit flowing from this purpose is the possibility of a Trustee who has a needy relative and if this scenario arose, it would be incidental and necessary because any needy person or their family may benefit by means of relief from this purpose. 6. The direct benefits which arise from this purpose include bringing spiritual well-being to people who through evangelism enter into an experience of Christian faith. The benefits are demonstrated by the personal testimony of persons who have come into this experience and from those involved in spreading the Gospel message. This purpose does not lead to harm. The beneficiaries are people living in the local community or further afield who are able to benefit by means of spiritual help. There is also a benefit to the families of persons who benefit from spiritual help. An incidental private benefit from this purpose is the payment of the 1 Trustee because it is necessary in furtherance of the charity's purpose because every person hearing the Gospel message may choose to respond to it by an exercise of personal faith in Jesus Christ.

As members who constitute Christ Church (Congregational) along with non-member adherents or anyone who has an interest we meet for weekly services in an environment of Christian love, worship and fellowship, these services are evangelical in content and open to anyone who has an interest to hear God's Word. Our services are broadcast live on the
internet We support children and youth by means of Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Youth Club, mums and tots, Sunday School, Youth Fellowship. We are a family centred church and have a monthly family gathering. We meet for regular Bible Study which others are welcome to attend. We support missionary outreach locally and in other parts of the world, missionaries are also supported in a practical and prayerful manner. We take an interest in the local community and one way we show this is by means of our weekly prayer ministry which is open to anyone who wishes to come and specific outreach (evangelism) events. We provide benevolent help to local people/families in need and also to the need for aid e.g. in time of crisis e.g. in other parts of the world and in the latter case, this aid is given through organisations who also seek to advance the Christian message.
