Public benefits

Friends Forever Europe's principle purpose is to promote cross-community work through youth focused programming. Through volunteer service projects and intensive communication and collaboration activities, Friends Forever inspires a new generation of youth leaders to be confident and empowered ambassadors for peace in their own families, schools

and communities. Youth participants and adult educators from all over Northern Ireland are the direct beneficiaries of Friends Forever's work. Secondary benefits are afforded to the families of the youth participants, the NGOs that Friends Forever partners with, and the communities that they serve, both because of our work to cut down on sectarian behavior but also because of our programmatic emphasis on service-based learning and professional development to make our participants more prepared to enter the workforce (public speaking, confidence, professional decorum etc.) Friends Forever/Europe has been offering programs to Northern Ireland since 1986 from our USA based charity and has worked with numerous youth organizations in that time. The public will benefit from this organization in there will be a more peaceful society. There are no private benefits accrued in this mission or potential harm from the purposes stated.

What your organisation does

Friends Forever Europe’s current programs include: Immersion Programme: All Immersion Programmes include a cross-cultural trip highly tailored to the team's and individuals' interests and goals. These in-depth programmes are our most comprehensive and based on our innovative curriculum and philosophy. Programmes are spread out in three distinct

phases (Team Building, Skill Building, and Community Building, described below), with home-based & virtual sessions before and after the cross-cultural trip. The programme focuses on empathetic leadership, self-reflection, team building, and communication. Each Immersion Program culminates with a participant-designed community action project. Discover Programme: Our Discovery Programmes allow participants to dig deeper into concentrations of their choice. The length of these programmes can range from one day to one weekend to several weeks. This tailored program provides the opportunity for participants to take sessions that match their passion and/or goals. Available modules include options from our Leadership, Multiculturalism, and Creativity & Arts courses. Throughout the programme, participants will learn about identity, communication, and goal setting. All programs conclude with reflecting on the process.
