Public benefits

The Public Benefit Requirement Having regard to the Public Benefit Requirement Statutory Guidance, we set out below how the Ministry meets the public benefit requirement. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include encouraging moral improvement, good citizenship, adherence to Christian values and an understanding of the Christian

faith. These benefits can improve mental health, the feeling of belonging to a community and giving meaning to this life and hope of eternity. These benefits will be demonstrated through the public attending Christian events, changing their social and moral behaviour and following the practices and beliefs of the Christian faith. This purpose could lead to harm to some people by being excluded from their family or community or persecuted for their Christian values or faith. However, this harm is outweighed by the benefits described above, to the vast majority of the public, who believe in and benefit from Christian values and the Christian faith without fear of exclusion or persecution from people of different beliefs. The Ministry’s beneficiaries are the public anywhere worldwide. The only private benefits flowing from this purpose would be to the employees of and suppliers to the Ministry. These benefits are incidental and are necessary to ensure the purpose is achieved by reaching the public with the Christian gospel.

What your organisation does

Crown Jesus Ministries is committed to communicating the good news of Jesus Christ in a real and relevant way. We work alongside and serve the Evangelical Christian Church and schools. The Ministry delivers a variety of programmes, some of which are summarised below. School of Evangelism This course is for those who want to take evangelism

seriously in our contemporary culture through biblical, historical and practical studies. Accredited by Moorlands College, the course goes wide in the grasp of the subject and deep in its application to everyday life. School of Evangelism Lite This 4 week programme teaches and equips church members in evangelism, offering practical support for evangelism projects in their local community. Partner Church Projects The Ministry partners with churches to help them impact their communities. By working with churches the results are lasting, discipleship effective and the local church is left better equipped to reach the public in their area. Klass Kids This includes all our children’s and primary school work. Every week the team is involved in assemblies, S.U. meetings, R.E. classes, children’s events, family services and afterschool clubs. We share the Christian teachings in a fun and relevant way. We also deal with important issues like bullying, self-esteem and friendships. 1 WAY Youth This is how the Ministry reaches the youth generation. It encourages young people to be everything they can be in God and accept that life is best lived God's way. This is done through youth events and schools’ work, including school assemblies, S.U. meetings, R.E. classes, teen events and afterschool clubs. 1WAY is also about giving this youth generation an arena, in which they can express their views and ask questions. The Third Thing Cross community initiative to discuss the Christian faith.
