Public benefits

The Charity's policy is to make a distribution of donations in December each year and additionally to respond to appeals for response to disaster situations as they are received during the course of a year. The direct benefit flowing from the purpose of the Trust is that the chosen charities are in a better financial position to achieve their

charitable objects and purposes. The best way I can demonstrate the benefits afforded to the public is to provide a schedule of the recipients of donations in Dec 13 and those for Dec 2014 Cheques Actual Actual written Donations Donations 12/12/2013/12/13 Dec-14 Cystic Fibrosis Trust 117 2500.00 Southern Area Hospice Services 118 2500.00 2000.00 NSPCC – Childline 119 1000.00 2000.00 C B M (2014 paid early - see below) 120 2000.00 Mission Aviation Fellowship 121 7500.00 7500.00 Sightsavers 122 2000.00 2000.00 Open Doors 123 2000.00 4000.00 Love for Life – Charlene’s Fund 124 2000.00 3500.00 Mufulira Orphaned Children, Zambia 125 3000.00 5000.00 New Beginnings 127 10000.00 10000.00 Northern Ireland Children's Hospice 128 3000.00 2000.00 RVH Metabolic Unit Research Fund 129 1000.00 Mission Possible 130 1000.00 1000.00 One Mission Society 131 3000.00 5000.00 Hope and a Future - Ethiopian Schools 132 5000.00 5000.00 Colann Ministries 133 1000.00 Reaching and Teaching Ministries 134 1000.00 1000 00 Kenya Sunbeam Ministries (Note 2) 5000.00 Bethel Community Outreach Ministries, Uganda 2000.00 Christ Salvation Ministries Rev. What your organisation does

The Charity makes financial donations to chosen recipient charities which are active in delivering practical aid and provision to needy situations. The Charity is not active in a practical/hands-on manner. A Memorandum of Wishes was signed by Morris and Sally Phillips on 21st December 2007 and distributed to all Trustees for their guidance. The

following extract from that document should be helpful in further defining the purposes of the Charitable Trust: - 'In principle, we would anticipate the funds being applied - as the Trustees direct - in furtherance of the following (although this is not intended to be an exhaustive list and is simply by way of example): - a) the relief of hardship now and for the future through the furtherance of general education and the promotion of the Christian faith in underdeveloped countries; b) the provision of funding to help disaster recovery, where that occurs within the world; c) the development of missionary work throughout the world; d) the support of charities involved in a) to c) above which illustrate good stewardship by applying a large percentage of donations received to the work on the ground; e) the support of charities operating in the United Kingdom on behalf of needy causes considered by the Trustees to be worthy of assistance.
