The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include… • The opportunity for low earning parents to avail of low-cost after school care and an opportunity for the children to be supported when engaged in homework activities. The school has identified that pupils who are actively engaged in homework activities are more likely to obtain

employment when reaching employment age; • The opportunity for parents to avail of employment where shift working patterns are operational; • The opportunity to provide high quality after school and holiday care, education and family support for the vulnerable and disadvantaged in order to ensure that children are able to access all educational services thereby enabling them to develop their physical, mental, spiritual capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and their overall conditions of life may be improved; • The opportunity for pupils, from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, to continue to work together and explore their similarities and celebrate their differences within an environment of mutual understanding, respect and trust; • The opportunity for pupils to develop their social skills and enhance their language acquisition through the wide variety of activities presented during each session; • The opportunity for pupils to visit a variety of places of interest across Northern Ireland thus embedding the skills and experiences presented to them during their sessions at DPS Out of School Club. What your organisation does

Dungannon Campus Day Care provides affordable quality childcare that provides flexibility for working parents. Children are provided with the opportunity to develop their skills and abilities to work collaboratively, to develop mutual understandings and high levels of respect for one another. Opportunities are offered for pupils to work with

highly qualified staff when engaged in homework and team building activities. During the school holiday periods opportunities are provided for extended programmes and participants are encoruaged to develop a deeper appreciation of their local community and what Northern Ireland has to offer. This is achieved through visits to various places of interest i.e. Titanic

Charitable purposes

The Objects are to advance education and to promote the preservation and protection of health of primary school age children (‘the beneficiaries’) in Dungannon and its environs (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) by the provision of educational and recreational facilities out of school hours in the interests of social welfare without distinction of gender, disability, ethnic identity, nationality or religion.
