Purpose 1: To further the religious and other charitable work of St. Elizabeth’s Parish Church, Dundonald, County Down. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include promoting a practice and maintaining a belief which are consistent with the religious and charitable ethos of St. Elizabeth’s Parish Church. The beneficiaries of this
purpose will be the members of St. Elizabeth’s and other users of the services offered by St. Elizabeth’s. The benefits to these users can be assessed by regular reviews with staff workers at St. Elizabeth’s, the members themselves and the church council. The Trustees are not aware of this purpose giving rise to any harm. The Trustees are not currently aware of any private benefit that may flow from this purpose to them. If a Trustee belonging to St. Elizabeth’s Church were to apply to the Trust the application for the award of a grant will be considered in the same way as all other applicants. Purpose 2: To advance the Christian religion in any part of the world as expressed in the Holy Bible and the 39 Articles of the Church of Ireland. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include promoting a practice and maintaining a Christian belief that is consistent with the ethos of the Bible and the 39 Articles of the Church of Ireland. The beneficiaries of this purpose will be organisations, churches and individuals in any part of the world. The benefits are demonstrated through individual beneficiaries completing any training required, or working in a church or organisation in order to enable the fulfilment of this purpose. The wider benefit of moral improvement in society will outweigh any detriment arising from the advancement of the Christian religion. Any private benefit to a Trustee is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries and if a Trustee were to apply to the Trust the application for the award of a grant will be considered in the same way as all other applicants. Purpose 3: To advance religious education in accordance with the doctrine and principles of the Anglican faith by means of Bible Classes and otherwise. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include a greater awareness and understanding of Christian belief and practices that are consistent with the doctrine of the Anglican faith. The beneficiaries are individuals undertaking Bible Classes in any part of the world in order to advance their religious education. The benefits are demonstrated by an individual finishing a course of Bible Classes that will equip them to benefit others through the teaching of the Anglican faith. The wider benefit of increased knowledge in religion and moral improvement will outweigh any detriment arising from the teaching of the Christian faith. Any private benefit to a Trustee arising out of advancing religious education is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. Purpose 1 Spiritual, moral and social improvement are benefits that result to the congregation and local community from the religious activities of St Elizabeth’s, principally by the activities of the Youth Leader who is funded by grants from the Trust. Purpose 2 The Trustees are aware that there is a remote possibility of harm resulting to a beneficiary of the Trust. The beneficiary’s employment prospects may be enhanced by training that is partially funded by grants from the trust and then gain work in a high risk area of the world. However the Trustees are not aware of other harm that may result from this purpose. Purpose 3 The Trustees are aware that there is a slight possibility of harm such as anxiety and stress from a beneficiary undertaking bible classes and otherwise. However the Trustees are not aware of other harm that may result from beneficiaries fulfilling this purpose.
