The club exists to provide skiing, and instruction in skiing, for those with any additional needs in a safe, fun, friendly and caring environment. Skiing and instruction is tailored to the needs of the individual. Those who are unable to walk/stand are provided with "sit-skis" owned by the club and operated by specially-trained instructors who
are members of the club. The aim is to develop the skiing ability of the individual where possible, and to provide the fun of skiing to those where it is not possible through for reason of disability for them to learn to ski. The club also facilitates participation in Special Olympics for those who wish to do so. Club members have represented their country at national and international level, winning numerous medals in the process, enhancing their self-esteem and promoting disabled sport on the world stage.
