Public benefits
The public benefit flowing from this purpose is based around our provision of boxing and other recreational activities to enhance physical, mental and emotional capacities, regardless of age, ability, disability, religion and ethnic identity. We aim to empower our participants to improve their well-being and life conditions through physical
activity. The benefits achievable for those individuals involved include healthier lifestyles, social inclusion and development of skills and physical literacy. These benefits can be demonstrated clearly through feedback from our programme participants and through evidence gathered from relevant stakeholders around the benefits of sport and in particular boxing. The information is typically gathered through focus groups, direct consultation and feedback from beneficiaries. The Club’s beneficiaries are children, young people and adults. Our catchment area is predominantly Glengormley and surrounding areas. There is no perceived harm or private benefit arising from this purpose.

When properly prepared boxers can then enter competition at local, County, Provincial and higher levels. The club also provides training and keep fit opportunities for those not yet ready to box or who enjoy the rigors of boxing training.
