Public benefits
The public benefits flowing from the purposes of Killygullib Rural Development Association are that the rural residents particularly the farming community in South Londonderry have access to a meeting place in a very rural part of Mid-Ulster. Here they can meet in a safe non-threatening environment and participate in educational and recreational
activities. They can meet with representatives from DARD (Dept of Agriculture Rural Development) to discuss rural issues. As a group there will be benefits from their interest in the conservation of rural wildlife, flora and fauna. There will be further benefits to the community because training and education will be offered on these issues. There will be benefits from the Health & Nutrition courses offered to local people and benefits to farmers who can participate in Farm Safe courses, First Aid Courses and general networking activities. There will be benefits to the elderly who will attend the regular supper dances organised on their behalf. There will be benefits to the whole community if and when the group can access sufficient funding to develop community allotments and a fitness trail. The benefits will be measured by the number of individuals participating in activities. The level of interest show by the community and the feedback obtained from beneficiaries on a regular basis. There is no harm flowing from the objects of the organisation and no private benefit.
