Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the advancement of amateur sport and improved community life and social welfare, and the availability of recreational space for all. The group’s activities bring about improved education, health and well-being outcomes through local provision in the community, and reduced levels of social
isolation, stress and anxiety, through the provision of leisure and recreation facilities. The improved facilities and provision in leisure and sporting activity also helps brings about greater understanding and improved good / community relations. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from beneficiaries and attendees at our events and activities using: evaluation forms, surveys, verbal feedback, and evaluation of our activities. There is no harm anticipated from this purpose. The charity’s beneficiaries are primarily the inhabitants of the rural areas of the Clogher Valley, the surrounding hinterlands within the council area of Dungannon & South Tyrone in Mid Ulster and beyond. A private benefit to Trustees may arise from our ongoing provision of leisure facilities and programmes of events and leisure and recreational activities. Through this, Trustees gain leisure activities, information, skills, and experience which are transferable to other settings, and which may benefit their own community, group or area. Our own Trustees receive information, use of facilities and activities in the same way as other beneficiaries, and are assigned facilities and activities in the same ways as other beneficiaries. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
