Public benefits
County Fermanagh Farming Society Ltd exists to advance, promote, and improve agriculture in the county and to educate the public in the importance of this sector and its impact on daily life. This is delivered by organising and holding a 2 day show in August each year, showcasing livestock, pets, poultry, home industries, horticultural displays and
school exhibits. The benefit flows from the promotion of local rural life for the inhabitants of County Fermanagh and its environs. Those who benefit particularly are the exhibitors, stewards, and visitors, who are all involved in developing an interest in agriculture in general. The 3,500 exhibits from the local schools involve the younger generation, and the 192 trade stands, promote local food, animal welfare, renewable/sustainable energy sources, as well as many service providers. There is no private benefit from show activities. A team of health and safety officers ensure the safety of both animals, and the public at our event.
