Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from the charities purpose include the relief of poverty and social benefit and advancement of education and learning of persons in Europe and/or Africa. Through the provision of finance, buildings, equipment and facilities for the education and learning in these areas the beneficiaries of the charity will benefit

from increased levels of education, improved personal prospects, enhanced social standing and confidence. Other direct benefits include the promotion of health and well being of the public as a whole with the promotion of medical research and provision of finance for a number of medical projects. Also to directly benefit any organisation that promotes the aforementioned purposes of the charity. Through this benefit the beneficiaries will enjoy a better health service with increased research into current incurable diseases allowing for improved quality and longevity of life. Provision of accommodation to beneficiaries (rest homes, children’s homes and orphanages) will provide a better quality of life through security of accommodation, structured daily activities and improved chances for personal development and mental well-being. These benefits will be evidenced through the improvements experienced in the aforementioned areas with the financial assistance provided. The charity is pursuing it's purpose will pose no harm or possibility of harm to any individual / organisation. The charities beneficiaries are those in need of educational facilities in Europe and/or Africa together with those that will benefit from medical research or the provision of medical facilities/ accommodation. There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes set out for the charity.

Charitable purposes

The Trustees must apply the income of the Trust to further any of the following objects ('the objects'): i) for the relief of poverty and social benefit and advancement and propagation of education and learning of persons in Europe and/or Africa, to include the academic, social, moral and physical development of persons whom the trustees, as stated herein, choose to benefit. To include the provision of finance to a body of persons established for the purpose of educating its members to include but not limited to schools. Also to include the provision of buildings, equipment and facilities which are to be used for the provision of education and learning of persons in Europe or for the support of a non-profit making educational establishment. ii) to promote the health and well being of the public as a whole. To include the promotion of medical research. Also to include the provision of finance: a) for the building of, renovation of, provision of medical equipment to, any non-profit making hospital which provides health care to the public as a whole; b) for the provision of accommodation such as non-profit making rest homes, children's home and Orphanages in order to assist the charitable activities of promoting the health and well-being of its residents. iii) for the benefit of any registered charity that promotes the advancement of the aims as stated in (i) above of any of the beneficiaries stated in clause 4 hereto. iv) for the benefit of any registered charity that promotes the health and well being of any of the beneficiaries stated in clause 4 hereto. Any application of the income of the Trust requires written consent of at least three of the Trustees. Any application of the income of the Trust must be for the purposes deemed charitable according to the law of Northern Ireland.
