Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from advancement of education include improved job prospects and increased self-confidence. We do this by providing training courses, sign posting to other training and providing information on jobs and training. The direct benefits which flow from the protection of health include improved health for individuals and
improved health within families. We do this by sign posting to health event, holding training courses in nutrition and healthy eating and by holding ‘stress buster’ events. Providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for the education, recreation and leisure time occupation of women creates direct benefits including, improving family and community life in areas where by reason by reason of social and economic circumstances have need of such facilities. It also creates greater opportunities for women, reduces social isolation and increases confidence of women. We hold a Summer Splash Programme every year, organising trips and study visits for women to various venues. We hold inspirational women’s events, quizzes, conferences, seminars and craft events. We sign post women to other events and training which may be of benefit for them via our regular e-bulletin (one or two a week) and our newsletter (six per year). We reach 450 members via email and 290 via post. There will be no harm or possibility of harm flowing from any of these purposes. The beneficiaries are women from throughout the North West - inclusive of all exclusive of none. There is no private benefit to anyone.
