Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from our purpose is a free four day community festival for the entire community of the village of Strangford and the surrounding district which will over the course of the four days bring benefits in the following areas – advancement of health and saving lives via (NIFRS, PSNI) road traffic accident educational talk

and display, advancement of arts culture heritage via local history group display in Strangford castle, the advancement of amateur sport via children’s sports day and underage blitz games of soccer, gaelic football and hurling, advancement. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from citizens from the Strangford village and surrounding district and from representatives from funders and stakeholders who will be present at various junctures throughout the four day festival. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are the local people from the Strangford village and surrounding district and there is no private benefit to trustees either actual or incidental.

Charitable purposes

Organise, promote, source funding and run the annual summer festival for all the people of Strangford, Kilclief and surrounding area (hereinafter described as the area of “benefit”) without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating with statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to facilitate the annual festival.
