Public benefits
(1) Two castles Community Development Association (TCCDA) has (and will continue to) demonstrated advancement of education in our target area as TCCDA has made payment to two local schools and a Nursery School from funds TCCDA raised. The association has also contributed to an Old Peoples Christmas Party. The direct benefits that flow from this
purpose to organise such specific services and activities for the two local schools, Nursery School and Older Peoples Christmas party for the well-being of the local people of this rural area who ensure a decreased feeling of social isolation. Through this purpose the local people of the area have an increased sense of belonging to the area. There is also a greater sense of pride in the area due to the positive publicity generated from the fund raising events. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from the local people themselves, the politicians and the Government officers. We do not anticipate any harm leading from the purposes of our charity. The charity’s beneficiaries are the people who live in the Newtownstewart area. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is that people if this group also live in the local area of Newtownstewart and are able to avail of these services. However, there is no preference to them over any other member of the public living in this area. We aim to help provide low cost sports and leisure activities in order to promote a healthier lifestyle, reduce obesity and create a feel good factor through well being. We feel this will also (and we believe it already has) help reduce anti community activities in the locality and help ease sectarian tensions as the youth are activity integrated
as a result of the sport related programs TCCDA has run. Our annual Community festival has also engaged people from isolated rural backgrounds and helped integrate them with the local villages inhabitants
