Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from our object or purpose includes giving people a place to get together with others to enjoy social interaction and take part in activities of a recreational nature. The participants learn new skills and share their own knowledge and skills with each other. They will play sports to improve their health and social
interaction. We will also make our facilities available to other sporting organisations to provide mental and physical health for people of all ages. We provide neutral space in Downpatrick which will be promoted to the whole community regardless of religion, ethnic origin or personal background to encourage better community relations. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of our activities. The purpose of our charity will not lead to any harm. The charity's beneficiaries are people living in the Lecale area of Newry, Mourne and Down District. A private benefit to trustees may arise from our activities and training, such as gaining new coaching skills. Through these activities trustees may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
