What your organisation does

The Association of Talking Newspapers Northern Ireland exists to bring together those who are interested in improving access to local news for people in Northern Ireland with a disability which makes reading difficult; in particular people who are blind or vision-impaired. It represents, supports and promotes the work of Talking Newspapers in N

Ireland and provides a forum for discussion. It runs a website, www.atnni.org.uk, which acts as a central access point for information on talking newspapers in NI. It plays a strategic role in pressing for equality of access to all kinds of information for people with sight loss and print disabilities. It works closely with other voluntary bodies e.g. RNIB Northern Ireland, Talking News Federation, and it has close links with public libraries.
