The public will benefit through An tUltach’s advancement of education and also through the advancement of arts, culture and heritage. The public benefits will include an increased exposure to high quality Irish language published in An tUltach. The public will benefit by increased profile of the Ulster dialect of the Irish language which will
increase education in the rich indigenous language of Ulster. The publication of An tUltach will also have the public benefit of increased learning of and involvement with the Irish language. The public will benefit by An tUltach's educational, linguistic and arts activities by raising the profile of the Irish language and by enhancing the public's contact with and exposure to the language. An tUltach provides a platform to raise issues of an Irish language interest for its users. An tUltach presents issues relating to the Irish language community and nurtures creativity in the language which provides an outlet for artist e.g. creative writers, poets etc. An tUltach provides user-friendly material for those learning and improving their Irish language skills. An tUltach strives to raise standards in public discourse in the Irish language and encourages greater participation with and in the Irish language. An tUltach provides a voice for speakers of Irish. The public benefit will is demonstrated by the number of readers and the number of subscribers An tUltach secures through its endeavours. The public benefit will also be demonstrated by the number of writers in the Ulster dialect who have their material published each month in An tUltach. Any potential harm has been carefully considered and it has been concluded that no harm is attached to the publication of An tUltach. The beneficiaries are our readers, who enjoy reading An tUltach, and our writers who have the fulfilment of having their material published. Writers have the private benefit of having their material published in a mainstay of literary culture and are also paid a modest fee for their work. Our editor also receives a modest fee for his work. No committee members receive any payment other than out of pocket expenses.

An tUltach publishes an Ulster Irish language monthly magazine which is an instrument for the Irish language Speaking Community in Ulster to communicate through the medium of the Irish language. This is particularly important for the minority language community it serves and the members of which are physically separated from each other. An tUltach
organizes public events to promote Ulster Irish such as seminars, poetry readings, lectures and book launches. An tUltach is not for profit. An tUltach is organised by unpaid volunteers.
