Purpose 1. Improved relationships between home and school. The benefit which flows from this purpose included funding for additional resources for Killowen Primary School and building and strengthening links with the local community. This is demonstrated by having an enthusiastic and active PTA who work in partnership with the school and engages
the support of parents, grandparents and friends of pupils within the school. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for the children of Killowen Primary School. The Charity trustees, namely the PTA committee members are usually parents of the pupils and therefore they gain benefit in the same way as all other pupils within the school are beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure that the benefits are provided to all beneficiaries. Purpose 2- Advancing the education of pupils in the school. This benefit which flows from this purpose if increased educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school and also building and strengthening links with the local community. This is demonstrated through the pupils having access to resources, activities and events and links with the local community which is not available via direct school funding. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for children of Killowen Primary School. The Charity trustees, namely the PTA committee members are usually parents of the pupils and therefore they gain benefit in the same way as all other pupils within the school are beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure that the benefits are provided to all beneficiaries.
