Public benefits

The benefits which flow from purpose 3.1 a include enhanced civic pride through the protection, preservation and conservation of public buildings and places of historical, environmental, architectural, industrial or constructional merit, reduction in dereliction and improved aesthetics of places of interest; a sense of well being from appreciating

a landmark building, place or structure; a sense of inspiration from appreciating the arts, culture, heritage and science through enhanced access to a historic building or important landmark. These are evidenced through general feedback, through the number of projects worked on to protect and preserve places of merit, project evaluations, and the number of people involved and interested in our work. There is no harm associated. The charity’s beneficiaries are those living or with an interest in the Portrush and surrounding area. Any private benefit is incidental in terms of enhanced civic pride and knowledge around the character of Portrush and surrounding area, and improvement of buildings and areas in disrepair. The benefits which flow from purpose 3.1 b include enhanced civic pride, improved access to land and open spaces and as a result enhanced health and wellbeing through the protection, preservation and conservation of the coastline, parkland, landscapes and other spaces, reduction in dereliction and disrepair and improved aesthetics; a sense of well being from appreciating a landmark building, place or structure; a sense of inspiration from appreciating the arts, culture, heritage and science through enhanced access to a historic building or important landmark. These can be evidenced through the number of projects the group delivers, and any general feedback and evaluations provided as a result, the number of people and organisations having access to land and open space to enjoy and that may become involved in our work. There is no harm associated. The charity’s beneficiaries are those living or with an interest in Portrush and surrounding area. Any private benefit is incidental in terms of enhanced civic pride, protection of land and open space, enhanced health and wellbeing and civic pride and improved access to countryside and open spaces.

What your organisation does

Building Preservation Trust set up to preserve, conserve, and protect places of historical, architectural, industrial or constructional interest. We will do this by raising funds, submitting funding applications, acquire property, make any regulations and renovations to property as required, act as a coordinating body with local Council, Planning

Charitable purposes

The Company's Objects are, 3.1 a) To preserve and protect for the public benefit building or structures of particular beauty or of historic environmental architectural industrial or constructional merit or interest in and near Portrush in the County of Antrim and 3.1 b) To restore renovate and conserve coastline, parkland planned landscapes and other open spaced and land related to such buildings or structures.
