Public benefits
Relief of Poverty - The direct benefits which flow from the provision of financial assistance to farmers who are in need of assistance with their farming activities include a reduction in financial hardship and reduced levels of stress and anxiety. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from farmers and regular evaluation of the
assistance provided by our inspector. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The charity's beneficiaries are farmers living in Co Antrim and Co Down who are in need of financial assistance in relation to their farming activities. The Trustees receive a small annual fee for reimbursement of expenses incurred. The Trustees also gain experience of running a Charity and these skills can be transferable to other organisations. These benefits are incidental to the purposes and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. The Charity has no employees. The services of an Inspector are engaged to assess grant applications and monitor progress.
