The young people benefit from a wide range of sporting activities such as athletics,

They also benefit from being able to attend supervised discos at least 3 times a year in a local hall. This provides them with an opportunity to meet and socialise, make new friends, gain confidence and develop new skills and abilities. The adults in the community benefit from having a source of advice where they can come and discuss their problems and be signposted to the suitable statutory advisors. They also benefit from the courses and classes laid on for them relating to physical and mental health, fire prevention and safety in the home. They can also participate in regular dance classes, reflexology and aromatherapy courses, advice on smoking cessation and other health related topics. The elderly benefit from a range of the activities which we have already mentioned but also from being able to participate in a new community garden where horticultural classes have been held. They can learn the skills of gardening, how to grow fruit and herbs but they can also benefit from being able to meet in the fresh air, work with other age groups in the garden which helps them feel less socially deprived or isolated. Everyone benefits from being able to access up to date information on all of our activities, our classes, our guest speakers from our Facebook page. Parents and their children benefit from the new play park which has been installed as the result of the work of Parkview Community Group. The local Council benefits from being able to access the community through the group. Every event or activity features on our Facebook page so that there is ample evidence of what takes place. The benefits however are evidenced through regular feedback through the community, evaluations at the end of each event or series of events and regular discussion with participants and beneficiaries, feedback is also sought at our AGMs. There is no harm flowing from any of the activities of Parkview Community Group and no private benefit except for payment made to specialist tutors or speakers which are necessary for the on-going work of the organisation.
