Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from the club’s purpose are the provision of a range of social, educational and recreational activities mainly based within Kesh community centre for senior citizens and general community living within the Kesh district of County Fermanagh and its environs providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities and
services that promote environmental issues, improve their educational attainment, receive training, receive advice and information, social interaction and improved conditions of life through accessing services that would not normally made available to them. Examples of activities include ‘walking for health’ programme, boccia, luncheon club, chair exercises, beetle drive, health fairs, information stalls, tea dances, Easter party, summer outings. Many of these activities are organised by the club linking with statutory authorities and voluntary organisations such as Kesh Development Association, South-West Age Partnership, Fermanagh & Omagh District Council, Ulster Wildlife, other local senior citizens clubs, Magheraculmoney Parish. Benefits of the activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers attending and collection of feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Kesh Senior Citizens Club – The Evergreens. The beneficiaries of the organisation are the senior citizens and general community of the Kesh district of County Fermanagh and surrounding district who are aged 60 and over. The only private benefit flowing from our purposes are that Kesh Senior Citizens Club – the evergreens members and their families can participate in all activities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all members of the district can potentially benefit.
