The Indian Senior Citizens Club was set up to identify the needs of the Indian Seniors Citizens. Most of these seniors live alone and isolated. This is a Voluntary based organisation run by dedicated elected members from the Seniors themselves. Since the establishment of the club, the members have gained confidence to come out of their homes
knowing that there is always a place they can go to interact and gain advice on health issues and social welfare rights. The Club operates on Mondays 11am-2pm. Here members have a chance to interact or interrelate with those in the same situation. As the club has been run by volunteers. All members are consulted in running of the club and their views are put forward to Belfast City Council and Age NI and grant providers. There are no personal benefits to any volunteer every grant has been documented and returns are sent with all receipts. Our club is open to any organisation to drop in during club times to see the running of our club. There is no harm to anybody within or outside our club.
