... [more] [less]What your organisation does
The group is a voluntary community organisation, largely Church based, however, there may be a few members and a management committee member who are not Church goers. The organisation meets regularly with open meetings and speakers as part of an annual programme of events and activities. Events and activities are based around peace building,
community relations and reconciliation. Speakers have included the Chair of the Community Relation's Council, Professor in International Conflict, eminent clergy and politicians involved in peace work etc. In addition the group meets to provide social engagement opportunities eg: for members and non members such as Lenten Breakfast, Christmas lunch, Summer outing. We also participate in Church Unity Services throughout the Causeway area and hold an annual Thanksgiving Service which has involved a local cross community choir.
