Public benefits
Our beneficiaries are those people living in poverty or who are in need in the Omagh area and also the Philippines. The direct benefit which flows from the prevention or relief of poverty is that the beneficiaries will have basic essentials, food and shelter therefore enhancing their quality of life. We aim to provide emergency food via a
foodbank in the Omagh area, and other essential items to individuals and families in need here. We want to help the very poor families in the Philippines also through annual food/donation every December and as natural disasters occur eg typhoon. We plan to work closely with other charities to both identify those in need but also for distribution. This will be evidenced by the number of people helped and supported. The direct benefit which flows from relieving those who are in conditions of need, financial hardship or distress is that there will be a reduced level of hardship and stress to people at particularly difficult times in their lives. We aim to run a charity shop to fund the financial aspect of this work but it will also double up as a drop in centre. This will be a friendly safe place where we can provide emotional support and a listening ear to those in need. We also aim to organise social activities for our beneficiaries to relieve their isolation and help them feel so not alone. This will be evidenced by the number of people who are helped. We will ask for feedback on our services and we will also ask our beneficiaries what activities they would like and what services they need. There is no harm from our work.

The "GOODWILL GIFTS" is a newly (established in November 2014) organised/constituted support group that will develop social activities for disadvantaged families in the Omagh area, as well as extending support and receiving donations by gifts of any kind for the very poor homeless families in the Philippines. 1. The "Goodwill Gifts" support group
members formed through helping, planning and promoting charity events and activities in order to help isolated and jobless individuals/groups of local people and members from ethnic minorities in the Omagh area. We started to make cash donations to Saint Vincent De Paul in previous years whilst managing a private business, and we can see that the poor families can not provide social activities for their children e.g. indoor play activities, which would be too expensive for them. The management committee is now planning to provide affordable/free childrens' play/activities in order to ease their isolation due to poverty within the Omagh areas. 2. The members of the management committee started to become more active following Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines in December 2013. Please take note/read attached articles from magazine/newspapers of events published by some members of The GOODWILL GIFTS support group. 3. The Goodwill Gifts support group will also network with all different voluntary community groups in the Fermanagh and Omagh district council area in helping the prevention of poverty. 4. The Goodwill Gifts support group, are currently developing networking relationships with other voluntary, charity organisation regardless of religious beliefs, social backgrounds, and nationalities, eg., Omagh Ethinc Communities Support Group events and activities.
