Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from this purpose are the breaking down of isolation, enhancing the independence and improving the quality of life of people with limited mobility. These benefits are evidenced through the increasing numbers of people using our service and the feedback received from patrons. Our service involves the provision of

powered mobility scooters and wheelchairs. In using such equipment, it is possible that accidents may occur. To limit the risk of any accident occurring, we provide training to patrons in the safe operation of equipment, ensuring patrons are capable of using the equipment safely and ensuring equipment is fit for purpose. Accidents are extremely rare and the benefits outweigh any risks. Beneficiaries of our purpose are people with limited mobility and their carers, living in or visiting the Carrickfergus area. There are no private benefits.
