Public benefits

Our beneficiaries are homeless people, or those sleeping rough or who are suffering from chemical dependence on drugs or alcohol, or those who suffering ill health as a result of prior dependency. Purpose 1 The direct benefit which flows from the promotion of the Christian faith is that people’s lives are enriched as they are encouraged to live

life in the knowledge that God loves them. Having faith in the Christian religion gives people a sense of hope and a sense of wellbeing and togetherness. These benefits are evidenced through evangelism prayer events and meetings and street outreach activities. Through our activities we show care and love and encourage the people we help to embrace God’s love. We have had testimonials and feedback from the community about the faith clinic called Healings from Above. Through this programme people who find it difficult to give up to Alcohol and Substance Addition have been receiving deliverance and healings by Divine touch. Purpose 2 The direct benefit which flows from the relief of poverty, hardship and distress is that by providing assistance to our beneficiaries, we are giving them the basics in life, food for nourishment, clothes to keep them warm and counselling to lend a listening ear to let them know they are not alone. We have a centre which we provide counselling and provide information, eg we have held seminars to help drug awareness to mothers and families to help them understand the damage each drug does. We also run a street outreach programme which currently involves going out on the streets on a Friday evening in groups to show care and love to people sleeping rough in the street and to provide basic essentials. This is all evidenced through numbers of people that we help. We plan in the future to develop a Training and Learning programme and a drop in centre/Cafe where people can meet and talk about their problems and we also plan to reach out to the sick. Purpose 3: To advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the Committee, may from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity. While the main benefits will primarily focus on the above listed charitable purposes however from time to time we may engage in work to fulfil other charitable needs that the Committee feels are worthy of help. As we are a young organisation we do not want to restrict our projects to those purposes described above but rather want to have the scope to pursue other charitable purposes if that is what our Committee feels is necessary. Private benefit: there is no private benefit. Harm: there is no perceived harm, only good, that will come from our work.
