Support - Direct benefit to carers or persons with a learning disability by reducing feelings of social isolation, stress and anxiety levels which can be demonstrated by positive feedback from beneficiaries by means of thank you cards, letters and telephone calls of appreciation. Possible harm is identified when there is a conflict between parties
but this is resolved when a favourable resolution is achieved. Advice – Direct benefit to beneficiaries is through historical advice from carers sharing the same problem and how they achieved success. This process gives beneficiaries encouragement to voice opinions and question statutory bodies on service requirements in the area of benefit. These benefits can be demonstrated through official Health Trust documentation and unmet need statistics. Guidance - Benefits beneficiaries through sharing experiences and expressing their views and to be publicly aware of their rights. This can be demonstrated by the positive advancement of environmental improvements in Housing, Respite needs, Residential replacements and Day care opportunities for beneficiaries. There is no harm or private benefit flowing from our purpose.

The organisation meets with the trust on a regular basis to discuss the needs of people with a learning disability. The direct benefits which flow from the group's work is that it enables the Trust to identify and deliver services in a targeted way to carers of people with a learning disability. It also enables the Trust to identify unnecessary or
out of date services and thereby enables the Trust to use public money in more efficient way to achieve maximum value and efficiency in services for the people living with a learning disability.
