provides support, advice, information, negotiation and representation to members of the community who present with issues. This includes benefit and income maximisation, form filling, energy efficiency advice and information and referrals to relevant agencies such as foodbanks, health professionals, grant and other agencies. These benefits are demonstrated by the numbers attending our service, the financial and soft outcomes achieved, users of the service are more aware of their entitlements, responsibilities and rights thereby empowering individuals to take back control of their own affairs and meet the demands of everyday living. In addition to offering advice and guidance on such topics as consumer, benefits, employment, education, housing, community care etc., the organisation offer a debt counselling service and solutions in the form of support, advice, information, guidance, negotiation and representation around budgeting, financial capability and money management including challenging and negotiating around unfair practices. The organisation will also negotiate and represent at appeals and tribunals to ensure reinstatement of benefits and improve the quality of life for vulnerable individuals and their immediate families. These benefits are demonstrated by a positive percentage of successful benefit claims and feedback from service users indicating increased financial awareness, service users will be less stressed and have a positive change in emotional and mental health well-being. The organisation is committed to community development by offering supported placement and volunteer opportunities for members of the community which are a stepping stone to employment and increase confidence and standing within society and the community. These benefits are demonstrated by promotion and provision of CPD led training, one to one and group supported training and development for placements and volunteers, enabling them to gain knowledge and skills which are transferable to other settings. In addition the organisation provide support, training and guidance to other voluntary and community groups throughout the area of benefit. We do not anticipate any harm leading from the purposes of our charity.
