To advance education through the arts in Northern Belfast and to promote and develop the arts in that area The direct benefit which flows from this is purpose is increased interest in education and an increased potential to gain educational qualifications amongst north Belfast residents. To encourage appreciation for the participation in community

arts and creative arts of people in North Belfast The direct benefit which flows from this is increased awareness amongst north Belfast residents of the impact of the arts at a community and societal level To encourage and stimulate the artistic creativity of people in North Belfast The direct benefit which flows from this is improved access to the arts for north Belfast residents and increased opportunities for participating in the arts To co-ordinate the provision of advice support training and facilities for purpose of the encouragement and stimulation of artistic creativity of the people in North Belfast The direct benefit which flow from this purpose is: improved access to the arts for north Belfast residents; increased opportunities for participating in the arts; increased information about progression routes within arts education/training and employment opportunities within the creative industries To identify facilities for the training of young people and others in the creative arts The direct benefits which flow from this is increased opportunities for young people in north Belfast for employment and training in the creative industries To provide and secure the provision of educational and recreational facilities in North Belfast The benefit which flows from this is increased (creative) educational and recreational activity available in north Belfast To provide or secure the provision of advice, training and information and refer those persons in need to professional assistance to relevant agencies The benefit which flows from this purpose is that north Belfast residents will have access to information about educational and artistic training available to them To promote and carry out or assist in the promotion and carrying out of research, surveys and investigations and to publish the results thereof The benefit of this is an informed analysis of the impact of participating in the arts on participants. This will help to build up a picture of the impact on participants of engaging in creative activity at local, national and international levels To organise or assist in organising meetings, lectures, classes and exhibitions and to publish and assist in the publication of reports, periodicals, recordings, books or other documents or information The benefit which flows from this purpose is increased cultural, creative and artistic activity in north Belfast, in particular in disadvantaged parts of north Belfast. Benefits as outlined above are identified through feedback, focus groups, research and evaluation and monitoring reports. The charity's benefits are provided for people living and working in disadvantaged communities in north Belfast. A private benefit may be gained by trustees as they receive training in governance. Through this training, trustees gain skills which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure benefit is provided to north Belfast residents. None of the purposes lead to harm.

What your organisation does

Arts for All works with community groups, schools and partnerships in north Belfast to deliver short, medium and long term arts workshops and activities and to contribute to the physical regeneration of the area. Arts for All is currently delivering/providing: A Cultural Hub which includes the John Luke Gallery which promotes inclusion and is

welcome to all regardless of gender, religion, politics, race, age or sexuality The port and docks of Belfast: imagined through textiles – a cross community and intercultural programme exploring the history of the port and docks of Belfast through textiles Arts programmes for peace – arts workshops which create a space to explore legacy of the conflict issues Capacity building workshops – arts workshops with community groups and schools across north Belfast Mentoring programme where skills are transferred from established artists to emerging artists – currently 17 mentees and nine mentors are on the scheme Public art projects: Arts for All develops public art projects which aim to improve the physical appearance of north Belfast
