Public benefits
Seymour Hill Preschool and Playgroup is a public benefit to children and their families. The direct benefits that flow from the purpose of the preschool and playgroup is the advancement of education. This benefit is evidenced every year through the increasing number of children and families that apply to attend our setting. We also recieve feeback
from parent questionaiires and are closely inspected every year by Social Services in which we recieve a written report on every aspect of our company. Preschool and Playgroup is beneficial to children as they will be building on social skills and learning to become independant through play. This is evidenced when they attend primary school and I receive feedback from the primary one teachers. All staff are fully trained in childcare and have all done child protection training and first aid training. All staff are aware of how to deal with different situations and are able to adapt the room to suit any child and their family. There is no private benefit or harm flowing from the purpose of our organisation. Beneficiaries of Seymour Hill Preschool & Playgroup are children aged between two and ten months and four and ten months and their families. In addition to the above, another benefit of the preschool and playgroup is that children start to develop their personal, social and emotional skills before advancing on to primary school. The children learn through play and develop cognitive skills, manipulative skills and start to build friendships and develop relationships with adults too. Children within the preschool and playgroup are from all different backgrounds and religions and therefore are taught to treat everyone equally. This benefits the children as they will hopefully grow up being inclusive of everyone and having a positive outlook on diversity.
