Public benefits

A) To provide relief of poverty and suffering through the provision of assistance through humanitarian aid. The charity operates from buildings at 22 Seaboughan Road, Markethill, Co Armagh where volunteers are on hand to accept donated goods of clothing, bedding, household, furniture etc etc. Part of the premises has been opened as a charity shop,

and items and goods not suitable for transporting to Romania eg. Fancy good is sold in the shop which helps pay the cost of transport. The donated goods are sorted to various departments and where clothing is concerned this is sorted in sizes, type etc and packaged to be sent on a container load shipped to Romania. Donated furniture goods are sold at the premises again manned by volunteers. NHHM link with a charity in Romania to ensure the goods sent in containers are distributed to those in need at the villages surrounding the Sighasoara area in Romania. People and children are underprivileged, deprived and exploited, where the most basic needs are absent eg. Running water, electricity, food is scarce, limited access to medicines or medical care and make shift housing is the norm. The charity has and aims to send three containers per year to Romania. The direct benefits are to the deprived people in the Sighasoara area of Romania to provide donations for food, actual clothing etc that in turn improve health outcomes and reduce levels of stress and anxiety. The aid is making a large difference to these people within the camps who have virtually nothing that have make-shift houses and some have no dwelling, with nowhere to sleep or they live in a building shell but there is no roof, timber and materials for repair are sent in the containers. I can confirm there is no private benefit received by trustees or helpers that volunteer their time to the charity. There is also no harms attached to the goods sent in containers that can come to those in poverty in the specific area of Romania. B) To provide funding in support of missionaries and missionary societies as agreed by the trustees for those charities based in the UK for the advancement of religion in promoting the faith of Jesus Christ. Goods that are donated by people to the premises from 22 Seaboughan Road, Markethill, Co Armagh are sold through part of the area converted to a shop and manned by volunteers. Any additional funds raised above the funding required to meet the charities purpose in Section A are for the benefit of local missionary societies/charities such as Fields of Life, Reachacross or those identified by NHHM trustees. There is no harm can be attributed to this benefit or no private benefit is received by any of the charities trustees. C) To the advancement and care of health by providing donations to charities that help through terminal illness such as cancer operating in the UK. As stated in section B additional funds raised by the same means is also distributed to those local charities involved in the advancement and care of health such as NI Hospice and Cancer Research. There is no harm can be attributed to this benefit or no private benefit is received by any of the charities trustees.
