Public Benefit The Association is established to promote the benefit of all the inhabitants of Seapatrick Village and its environment. The Association provides facilities for social welfare, health, education and recreation activities in the local village hall, as well as organising cultural trips away from the village. The group are also involved
with an environmental regeneration program. The Association liaise with statutory authorities and voluntary organisations on the residents behalf. Benefits that flow from the purpose of the Association are a safer, healthier, friendlier, environment to live in. Which includes reduced social isolation, less anti-social behaviour, improved health, knowledge, skills, education and a support network. With individuals having more confidence and self-esteem by reducing levels of stress and anxiety and tackling real issues in people’s lives. The Association can demonstrates this through a community audit which was carried out in September 2008. The purpose of the audit was to collect information on the needs and views of the residents in order to tailor the Associations service delivery. The Association also carries out on going questionnaires and verbal feedback from the beneficiaries. The Association also receives feedback from local authorities, MLA's and ABC councillors. All activities are well attended. The purpose of the Association is not harmful. The Association beneficiaries are all those who inhabit Seapatrick Village. Private benefit flowing from the Associations purpose arises from trustees, beneficiaries and volunteers gaining skills, knowledge, education and experience which are transferable to other settings. They also benefit from living in a more pleasant environment with all the advantages that brings.
