Public benefits

Hope 4 U Foundation: (1)seeks to prevent poverty through the delivery of money management courses which teach participants budgeting skills and helps them get in control of their finances, learn to save and prevent debt. We also have an agreement with an award winning debt counselling service, for referring individuals for personalised debt

counselling advice to help relieve poverty. Both of these services are promoted to the entire local community within the catchment area, but are targeted towards those who are suffering hardship as a result of their social, personal or economic circumstances. (2) seeks to promote the Christian faith through bible studies, outreach programmes, one-to-one discussions, and the provision of a place of worship. Participation and attendance at such events is not restricted to any particular section of the public, on the contrary they are promoted to the entire community – this principle itself is a core tenet of the Christian faith. (3)advances health and the saving of lives through the provision of advice and education into the dangers of drug, alcohol or other substance abuse –focused particularly on youth. In addition we seek to help with the rehabilitation of persons already affected by such addictions, through referrals to a specialist programme operated by trained personnel. (4)promotes regeneration of the rural Clogher Valley through the provision of a community centre. This provides a community meeting place for social engagement and a location where the elderly and other vulnerable people who are isolated within the rural community can engage with others. It also facilitates a youth engagement programme at weekends. This helps combat the lack of provision for youth activities during weekends within the district. The programme seeks to divert youth from anti-social behaviour and provides activities to promote better citizenship.
