Purpose 1: Improved relatioships between home and school The benefit which flows fromthis purpose includes funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstarted through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. This purpose does not lead to

Charity Trustees (PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. Our PTA is made up of a group of elected parents and staff. All parents and staff are invited to share their skills and help at our events. We run a programme of events throughout the school year for pupils, their family and friends and the wider community. We hold 3 major fundraising events each academic year. In November we conduct a bag pack
at our local supermarket. In December we organise a Christmas Fair and in Jume our Summer Fair. Other events vary from year to year but these may include Bingo, Beetle Drive, "Onesie Night Only" (a DVD/storytelling night with supper), Family Quiz Night, Community Street Party, Halloween Party/Disco, Valentine's Party/Disco, Girl's Night In (a pamper night for ladies, especially our mums), Coffee Mornings, Refreshments at school events e.g. Christmas Play, Easter Assembly, Open Night, Sport's Day. All our events raise valuable funds. These are used to directly benefit the children at our school. Over the past few years we have purchased outdoor play equipment, reading books, iPads and this year we are hoping to purchase Apple TV for each class. Coupled with this valuable fundraising is the opportunity to form closer home/school relationships and the opportunity to bring our local community into our school.
